)– Florida farrier Kevin Young is the winner of the 2014 EQUUS Professional Horseman Award. Entrants to the contest submitted 200-word essays nominating a professional horseperson in their life that has gone above and beyond to help keep their horse healthy and happy. Young was nominated by Lori Tankel of Florida.
In her winning essay, Tankel described Young’s dedication to the care of her horses, which often required spending many hours on the road and enduring challenging weather conditions. “I can go on and on about Kevin and his many attributes.
